Our introductory sewing classes are for beginners and is required before you can take any of our other classes.  The classes listed below are offered by public demand. Please note, a pattern must be purchased in the studio for your class.

The Tote Bag

What's in this CLASS for you?

In this class you will make this trendy tote inspired by the popular Lotta Jansdotter bag, in the fabric of your choice. This tote is big and billowing just like a trusty tote should be, and will soon become one of your favorites. This is our most popular class, so please be aware of limited space!

The Easy Pants


What's in this CLASS for you?


Using a pattern selected for this class, you'll make a fabulous pair of easy bohemian styled pants inspired by these found in Anthropologie. You will look and feel great wearing them with your favorite sweater or denim shirt. Make several pair in any color or fun print and we will help you get started. That is what's great about making you own clothes.

  • How to layout, mark and cut out fabric using a simple pattern.
  • Properly measuring yourself for a great fit.
  • Create a waistband to add structure.
  • The names and uses of 3 different kinds stitches to make your pants.
  • How to hem a pair of pants using the machine or hand-stitch method.

The Topper

What's in this CLASS for you?

In this class, you will make this classic go-to Topper, inspired by the fashion house Celine, in the fabric of your choice. This easy to wear coat is loose fitting and easy to throw on over a dress, a suit or even your favorite pair of jeans. Put on your boots and you are ready for L.A. wind and rain...it could happen! This is one of our new classes so be the first to join before the rainy season ends.

CANCELLATION POLICY
In the event that a class cancellation is made by the Studio, the students registered will be transferred into another Intro-to-Sewing class or refunded the amount paid for the class. Unfortunately, missed classes cannot be refunded or transferred to a future program. We have a 48-hour cancellation notice or your payment is forfeited.
